Students’ resources

Based on their initial drawings, students in groups will compare and contrast their ideas on clean air. After sharing their ideas with the whole class, they need to define what is clean air including ideas about their nature and their structure.

Teachers’ resources

It is important to help students to go in deep on their ideas of clean air. What we expected at this time is that they start to build an idea of clean air as matter. What means that at the macroscopic level, it has properties that (it occupies a volume…) and at the meso/submicroscopic level, we can imagine it as made up of parts/particles.
