Air pollution
According to the World Health Organisation, an estimated seven million people die each year as a result of exposure to air pollution.
However, air pollution not only severely affects human health, but also the health of animals and vegetation. In cities, traffic is one of the most significant sources of air pollution, and we need citizens’ active involvement to tackle the problem. Within MULTIPLIERS, students will be supported to make science-based decisions and become responsible citizens. Starting in Spain, they will consider how to improve cities’ air quality by collecting and analysing data and discussing it with scientists, experts in global health, and other relevant interest groups.
