Luftverschmutzung

Nach Angaben der Weltgesundheitsorganisation (WHO) sterben jedes Jahr schätzungsweise sieben Millionen Menschen an den Folgen von Luftverschmutzung.

Die Luftverschmutzung beeinträchtigt jedoch nicht nur die menschliche Gesundheit, sondern auch die von Tieren und Pflanzen. In den Städten ist der Verkehr einer der Hauptverursacher, und es benötigt die aktive Beteiligung der Bürger*innen, um das Problem anzugehen. Im Rahmen von MULTIPLIERS werden die Schüler*innen dabei unterstützt, wissenschaftlich fundierte Entscheidungen zu treffen und zu verantwortungsbewussten Bürger*innen zu werden. Beginnend in Spanien werden sie überlegen, wie sie die Luftqualität in den Städten verbessern können, indem sie Daten sammeln und analysieren und diese mit Wissenschaftler*innen, Expert*innen für globale Gesundheit und anderen relevanten Interessengruppen diskutieren.
