Biodiversità e servizi ecosistemici

Allarmati dalla perdita di biodiversità, scienziati, esponenti di associazioni ambientaliste e un numero sempre maggiore di politici stanno evidenziando l’importanza dei servizi che gli ecosistemi forniscono, ad esempio cibo, acqua e aria pulita, luoghi di ricreazione e habitat per animali e piante.

In collaborazione con un gruppo di educatori formali e informali, quali scienziati ed esperti faunistici, gli studenti impareranno non solo a conoscere le modalità di gestione sostenibile degli ecosistemi, ma studieranno anche i diversi servizi ecosistemici e il loro valore per il benessere delle società. Questo obiettivo sarà realizzato con metodi di apprendimento collaborativi, basati sull’indagine e sull’analisi dei problemi in una prima comunità scientifica aperta in Slovenia, che consentiranno di comprendere di comprendere e apprezzare la diversità dei servizi ecosistemici. Sfruttando l’esperienza dei partner di MULTIPLIERS, gli studenti impareranno che i servizi ecosistemici possono essere in competizione tra loro e che, anche se è possibile trovare un equilibrio, spesso sono necessari dei compromessi.
