MULTIPLIERS year-end event in Bonn

We are excited to share highlights from our MULTIPLIERS year-end event that took place on December 5, 2023, at the University of Bonn. Among the attendees were the local Open Science Community as well as individuals from informal educational institutions, universities, museums, media, and policy makers.

Annette Scheersoi, as the project coordinator, presented an overview of MULTIPLIERS. The spotlight, however, was on the students of two of our partner schools – Liebfrauenschule and Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-Gymnasium – who shared their experiences and insights gained from project activities focused on the theme of vaccination.

The event also featured two new multiplying activities: the premiere of a podcast episode produced by Liebfrauenschule students in collaboration with experts in immunology and medicine, and a documentary showcasing a lesson on vaccination for younger students, that upper secondary students from Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-Gymnasium had organized and conducted.

Media expert Rosi Würtz led a thought-provoking panel discussion where some of the experts shared their positive experiences with the MULTIPLIERS project. Their anecdotes about interactions with schools and students added a personal touch to the evening.

As the evening concluded, attendees engaged in vibrant discussions, fostering new connections and contemplating the future of MULTIPLIERS.
